Sales is a people business. Having self-esteem is an essential part of being a great salesperson.Good salespeople are not good talkers. Rather, they are good listeners, good thinkers, and hard workers.

Establishments that produce or provide goods and services employ Business Development Executives/Sales representatives. They identify new potential clients, as well as promote sales to existing ones. Sales representatives make telephone sales calls attempting to sell the goods and services, and arranging follow-up appointments with interested prospects. A critical part of building relationships with clients is learning about their needs. Before the first meeting with a client, a sales representative gathers background information of the contact or company.
