Contracts Engineer is typically an Engineer capable of

  • calculating the losses the company is facing due to delay in execution of work.
  • claiming the losses from the client.
  • interpreting the clauses of the contract and use them for the benefit of the firm.
  • drafting and review of tender document.

Contracts Engineer make sure that all the terms in the contract are in the best interests of the client.

It is more of a management role. So if you enjoy the management side of an Engineering Project you can look into this career.
